How MIDMENstarted.
I'm Udit, Tidu to most people. I'm doing my MBA at IIM Lucknow. Before that I worked in private equity at I Squared Capital, on project finance, Monte Carlo valuation and diligence, and before that at KPMG India in Digital Strategy.
On deals I saw how much of a team's time goes into keeping the model, the memo and the deck in step. An input moves, and someone retypes figures across documents and rereads every sentence to check it still holds.
AI writes those documents faster, but it makes the numbers harder to trust. You can't see where a figure came from, and "trust me" doesn't hold up in front of an investment committee or a client.
My first sketch was what I called a dual-phase, LLM-first reporting architecture: AI builds the model, a hub in the middle holds the truth, and every document carries tags that point back to it. MIDMEN is that hub. Excel stays the only calculator, every number has a cell and a source behind it, and a sentence that stops being true turns red.
It's a free pilot today. If you build models, memos or decks, I'd like to hear what breaks.
